What’s the difference between VIP and Founders Circle?
Both give you access to exclusive savings, gear trials, and expert services — but Founders Circle is a one-time investment that unlocks lifetime benefits, more flexibility, and priority access.
Do I get store credit if I return a stroller from the trial program?
Yes! As long as it’s returned clean, undamaged, and in its original packaging within the trial window, we’ll issue full store credit (no refunds).
Can I gift a membership?
Absolutely. Just note that in the form or contact us after submission and we’ll help set it up for the recipient.
What’s the service area for at-home consultations?
We offer home visits within 10 miles of our Marblehead store. If you’re not sure if you're in range, just ask.
What happens after I submit the form?
We’ll send you a secure QuoteMachine payment link. Once payment is received, you’ll get a welcome email with your perks and how to use them.
Is the membership refundable?
Memberships are non-refundable once activated — but your perks begin immediately and deliver ongoing value throughout the year or lifetime.
Does the VIP Membership renew automatically?
Yes — VIP Memberships auto-renew every year. You’ll receive a reminder in advance. If you'd like to cancel, please let us know at least 30 days before your renewal date to avoid being charged again.
Can I trade in gear I didn’t buy from Hip Baby Gear?
Yes! You can trade in gear even if it wasn’t purchased from us — as long as it’s a brand we currently sell and the item is in good, sellable condition. We accept items purchased at any time, before or during your membership, and from any retailer.
What condition does the gear need to be in?
Items must be clean, safe, fully functional, and free of major defects. All parts and accessories must be included. We reserve the right to decline items that don’t meet our resale standards.
How much store credit will I receive for trade-ins?
Approved trade-ins receive up to 30% of the item’s original retail value (based on the price at the time of purchase). Final credit is determined by condition, brand, and resale potential.
Do I need to be a member to get help with car seat installation?
Nope! Car seat installation is free for anyone who purchases their car seat from Hip Baby Gear — membership is not required. We are Certified Passenger Safety Technicians (CPSTs) and want to make sure your installation is safe and stress-free.
Is the membership retroactive?
No. Membership benefits — including discounts, stroller trials, and access to special programs — begin once you join and do not apply to past purchases or prior customer history.
