Membership FAQ

What’s the difference between VIP and Founders Circle?

Both memberships offer exclusive savings, gear trials, and expert services. VIP is an annual membership designed for ongoing support and savings, while Founders Circle is a one-time investment that unlocks lifetime benefits, greater flexibility, and priority access.

Can I use my membership discount with my membership credit?

Membership credit and member discounts cannot be combined on the same purchase. Your 10% member savings applies once your membership credit has been used.

Do I get store credit if I return a stroller from the trial program?

Yes. As long as the stroller is returned clean, undamaged, and in its original packaging within the trial window, full store credit will be issued. Refunds are not provided.

How does the gear upgrade credit work?

Members can trade in eligible gear for store credit toward a new purchase. Credit is based on the item’s original retail price and current condition, and is issued as store credit. Full details are outlined in our membership terms.

Can I trade in gear I didn’t buy from Hip Baby Gear?

Yes. We accept select gear even if it wasn’t purchased from us, as long as it is a brand we currently carry and is in clean, sellable condition. All items are subject to approval.

What condition does the gear need to be in?

Items must be clean, safe, fully functional, and include all necessary parts and accessories. We reserve the right to decline any items that do not meet our resale standards.

How much store credit will I receive for trade-ins?

Approved items receive up to 30% of the original retail value, depending on condition, brand, and resale potential.

What’s the service area for at-home consultations?

We offer in-home consultations within 15 miles of our Marblehead store. If you’re unsure if you're in range, just reach out and we’ll confirm.

What does free local delivery include?

Free local delivery applies to furniture purchases within 15 miles of our Marblehead store. Additional fees may apply for locations outside this area.

What happens after I submit the form?

We’ll send you a secure QuoteMachine payment link. Once payment is received, you’ll receive a welcome email with your membership details and how to access your benefits.

Can I gift a membership?

Yes. You can note this on the form or contact us after purchase and we’ll help set everything up for the recipient.

Is the membership refundable?

Memberships are non-refundable once activated. Benefits begin immediately and are designed to provide ongoing value throughout the membership term or lifetime.

Does the VIP Membership renew automatically?

Yes. VIP Membership renews annually. You’ll receive a reminder before renewal. To cancel, please contact us at least 30 days prior to your renewal date.

Who is the Founders membership best for?

Founders is ideal for families planning multiple purchases over time who want ongoing expert support, priority access, and a more personalized, concierge-level experience.

Is the membership retroactive?

No. Membership benefits begin once you join and do not apply to past purchases or prior transactions.
