Do I need an appointment to visit Hip Baby Gear?
Nope! Walk-ins are welcome anytime during store hours. That said, if you want 1-on-1 help building your registry, we recommend booking an appointment so we can give you our full attention.
Can I test out strollers before I buy?
Yes! You can test drive strollers in-store and even outside on the sidewalk with a weighted demo baby. We also offer side-by-side comparisons so you can find the perfect fit for your lifestyle.
Do you assemble gear before pickup?
Yes! We assemble strollers and other gear before pickup, walk you through all the features, and help load it into your car. No unboxing stress at home — we’ve got you covered.
Can I take gear home the same day?
In most cases, no. As a small business, we don’t stock every item or color in-store. But we’ll help you choose from floor models and place your order for fast pickup or delivery — and we can hold it in our warehouse at no charge.
Do you install car seats?
Yes! Our team includes Certified Passenger Safety Technicians (CPSTs). We provide hands-on car seat installation help and show you how to buckle your child in safely every time. We serve families across the North Shore, greater Boston area, and beyond.
Do you offer baby gear consultations?
Yes — it's what we’re known for. Whether you're overwhelmed by choices or just want guidance, we’ll walk you through strollers, car seats, furniture, and more. Appointments recommended, but not required.
Do you offer a baby registry?
We do! You can build your registry in-store or online using MyRegistry. It lets you add items from Hip Baby Gear and other stores in one place. We’ll walk you through it from start to finish, either in person or virtually.
Can I use Babylist?
Yes — we can work with Babylist too. Just keep in mind that it’s not as small-business friendly and may direct your guests to big-box retailers instead of supporting your registry through us.
Do you offer completion discounts?
Yes! We offer a 10% completion discount on your registry. This applies to most items, but excludes strollers, car seats, and furniture.

Yes! We offer a curated selection of non-toxic wooden toys, organic baby apparel, and sustainable gear. Safe, clean, and planet-conscious is our thing.
Do you offer baby furniture delivery or setup?
Yes! We offer local delivery and in-home setup for nursery furniture throughout Massachusetts and parts of southern New Hampshire. We carry heirloom-quality pieces from brands like Romina and Oilo — and we’ll make sure they’re safely installed and ready for your little one.
Can I shop your baby store online?
Yes — our website is open 24/7. But if you want to test products, ask questions, get assembly or registry support, or try a stroller outside, come see us in-store. That’s where the magic happens.
