The Mountain Buggy Freerider has Arrived!

I was so excited to see that the new Mountain Buggy FreeRider arrived at out store yesterday. Although there is a little mix up and I did not get what I had ordered, this still gave me time to play around with one of them. I took it home with me and had my 5 year old daughter, Skylar, help me put it together. Who's best to assist than someone who has the ability to use it. We took it out of the box, and within 20 seconds, it was scooter ready. We took it immediately outside as it had to be tested (remember 5 years old), and she was in love with it. Here are some of the things that I immediately noticed:

The board on the scooter is wider than most scooters which makes it more stable and easier for the child to use. As this was designed to also be a board that attaches to the back of the stroller, it had to be a little wider, but this is a good feature!
The wheels are larger which also adds for better stability
The weight is a little more than a typical scooter as it serves as a dual purpose, but not that it prevents a kid from having fun.
It easily converts to the ride along board for the stroller. A simple flip of the back wheel to swivel mode and a quick attachment to the adapter that sits on the frame and you are set to go.

The Mountain Buggy FreeRider comes in 4 colors, blue, black, orange and pink and will fit onto any Mountain Buggy stroller and retails for $99.99. There will also be other adapters coming out which will allow it to attach to other strollers as well, so this will become truly universal. It will hold a child up to 44 lbs, so you can get a lot of good use out of this. This is a must have rider board for the outgoing kid as well as the outgoing parent. Wish they had one in my size.
